About Me

Hi, I'm Jack. I'm a penetration tester and software engineer based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. I have a Master's of Computer Science from North Dakota State University, where I was the President of the school's cybersecurity club. I have been working as a penetration tester for about three years now, where I have gained experience performing web application, external, and IoT penetration tests. I enjoy creating and working with software and hardware in my free time, and I frequently find myself writing my own tools during penetration tests.

Career History

Penetration Tester

3 Years Centric Consulting

I am currently employed as a penetration tester at Centric Consulting. The bulk of my testing is web application testing and external network testing, but I am also the team's primary IoT/hardware tester.


Research Assistant

2 Years North Dakota State University

While at NDSU, I was a research assistant working on cybersecurity-related research. This included things such as identifying users based on their Bash history and helping design an AI-driven autonomous penetration testing system.


Mainframe Software Development Intern

7 Months IBM

During my sophomore year of college, I worked as a software development intern at IBM. I largely wrote High Level Assembler (an IBM assembly flavor) for z/OS's JES2, but also worked with other mainframe technologies and programming languages.
